Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Approximately 50 vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Officers report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered multiple other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police state early analysis indicate the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; investigators are not yet cognizant of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the community for information.

An important representative commented the incident made him without words and required to be solved promptly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and revives the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the killing of nine victims by a shooter targeting individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
