Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a crowded California beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Recordings shared online show the helicopter commencing to spiral above the shoreline then falling near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palms and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
