Charli XCX Portrays a Hell Version of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary First Look

Charli XCX is gearing up for a substantial film appearance in 2026, kicking off with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, she portrays what she refers to as a twisted version of herself.

It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever encountered, the performer commented.

She elaborated in a conversation: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept came from the pressure to create one.

A Glimpse into The Project

The debut trailer, unveiled on recently, mixes authentic footage from her live performances with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.

The mockumentary is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who explained that the story focuses on a reality where the artist opted for alternate decisions during the marketing of her chart-topping release Brat.

She recently agreed to star in Dakota Johnson’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions

The month of February will also see the release of Emerald Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from the artist.

She is also set to provide music for the drama Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released in the coming year.

The film will be released on the 30th of January.
